Pipedrive Alternative for Deal Makers: Honest Comparison

A Pipedrive alternative for deal makers? Pipedrive runs a clean deal board. FRONT OF MIND picks who to text today and why. Fair comparison with 2026 prices.

By Brett Kaufman. 8 years using relationships to build sales pipelines, from political fundraising to a 7 figure business to running matchmaking for two communities. Over 1,000 introductions facilitated.

The best Pipedrive alternative for deal makers is often no alternative at all, because Pipedrive runs a clean, affordable deal board. Where you need something else is the people with no deal card yet: FRONT OF MIND shows one deal maker who to text today, why, and drafts the message.

Full disclosure: I built FRONT OF MIND. Pipedrive is a well loved, focused product, and I will say plainly where it wins.

Here is the scene. Your Pipedrive board has nine cards. Two in diligence, one under LOI, six early. Every card has a next activity, and Pipedrive is good at nagging you about them. Meanwhile, the business broker who covers your sector in Texas has no card. You met him at a conference, had a good call in May, and have not texted since. When he signs a seller next month, he will start with the buyers he heard from recently.

What is Pipedrive good at for deal makers?

Pipedrive is good at making a sales pipeline visual and keeping every deal moving. From its pricing page, even the Lite plan includes deal, contact and calendar management in one place, AI report creation, spreadsheet import and 500+ integrations, plus meeting intelligence that briefs you before each meeting, transcribes each call and proposes CRM updates for you to approve afterward.

If you are a broker with a dozen listings, or a searcher juggling several conversations with owners, a board where nothing stalls silently is worth a lot.

Where is Pipedrive better than FRONT OF MIND?

Pipedrive is better whenever the job is the deal itself, or a team working deals together.

  • A deal board. Drag cards through stages, with activities on each. FRONT OF MIND is not a deal pipeline.
  • Email sync and sequences. Growth adds full Gmail or Outlook sync with open and click tracking, plus automated sequences of personalized emails and follow ups. FRONT OF MIND sends nothing on its own.
  • Contracts. Premium adds quotes, proposals and contracts with built in electronic signatures.
  • Team controls. Premium adds group and individual permissions; Ultimate adds account security rules and a sandbox. FRONT OF MIND is for one person.
  • Enrichment. Premium enriches company data; Ultimate adds phone and email enrichment.
  • Price at the bottom. Lite is $14 a seat billed annually, less than FRONT OF MIND.
  • A native app. Pipedrive lists a mobile CRM app. FRONT OF MIND has no native iPhone app yet. It runs in your phone’s browser and can be saved to your home screen.

If your bottleneck is deals that stall between stages, Pipedrive is the right tool.

What does FRONT OF MIND do that Pipedrive does not?

FRONT OF MIND watches the relationships that do not have a deal yet and tells you which of them to text today. Pipedrive’s activity reminders fire on the cards you created. Say you know 800 people and stay current with 50. Most of the 750 will never get a card, and that is where off market deals come from.

After 1,000+ introductions across two communities, I learned the hard part is never storage. It is knowing who to reach this morning.

  • It opens on your 10 minutes for today. Each name has a one line reason: they posted, it is their birthday, you met at an event 12 days ago and never followed up, a follow up is due, a pipeline deal has been quiet 7+ days, their company was in the news, or they are going cold.
  • It drafts a text. 40 words max, the way you would text a broker you know. Nothing sends without your tap, and it learns from your edits.
  • It only shows confirmed signals. A post appears only if it is confirmed to belong to that person.
  • It captures at the event. Say a name and a sentence, snap a card or badge, or take a selfie together. It is filed under that event.
  • You can ask it. Ask Liala “who lives in Miami” and get the right people with why.
  • It suggests intros. Intros to make this week, with dated proof on both sides.

Do you need a Pipedrive alternative for deal makers at all?

Look at one Monday morning in each tool. This illustrative example is how I would decide.

In Pipedrive: three overdue activities. Send the seller a document request, call the lender, update the LOI card. All useful. All about deals you already have.

In FRONT OF MIND: three texts. The Texas broker you have not texted since May, because his firm announced a closed deal. A CPA you met at an event 12 days ago and never followed up. An owner whose birthday is today.

If the first list is your whole job, keep Pipedrive. If the second list is the one nobody is making for you, that is the gap. Most deal makers need both lists, and no tool does both well. How I would choose

Pick Pipedrive if you need a visual deal board, email sequences, contracts, or a team on one system at a low per seat price.

Pick FRONT OF MIND if your deals are handled and the relationships that send them are the ones going quiet.
