Best Personal CRM for iPhone That Drafts the Text for You

Dex, Mesh, Covve, Cloze, folk and FRONT OF MIND compared on iPhone: who remembers people, who reminds you, and who writes the text. Verified October 2026.

The best personal CRM for iPhone depends on which part of the job you want off your plate. Mesh is the best free place to remember people, Covve is the best card scanner, and Cloze has the deepest email history. If you want the app to pick who to text today and write the text for you, that is the job I built FRONT OF MIND to do.

Full disclosure: I built FRONT OF MIND. So I will tell you plainly where each of the others wins.

Here is the moment. You are in a cab after a dinner with 1,400 contacts in your phone and three people from tonight you swore you would text tomorrow. You do not need another address book. You need the phone to tell you who to text and what to say.

So I judged every app here on three questions:

  1. Does it remember? Notes, history and context on each person.
  2. Does it remind? Something that brings a name back to you before it goes cold.
  3. Does it write? A draft you can send from your phone in under a minute.

Most apps do the first well. Almost none do the third.

Dex

On iPhone: Dex, Rolodex and Personal CRM, rated 4.4 from 265 ratings on the App Store as of October 27, 2026. The listing says Dex “reminds you to keep in touch with people you would otherwise forget.”

What it does well. Per its homepage, Dex pulls contacts from 15+ sources, merges duplicates, keeps one timeline of meetings, calls, emails and messages, and sends pre meeting briefs and updates when people change roles. Its pricing page lists Dex Research, which builds a briefing on a contact with what has changed since you last talked.

Does it write? Not in what Dex lists. Professional adds mail merge and voice mode, which is closer to sending than drafting.

Cost. Premium at $12 a month billed annually or $20 monthly, Professional at $20 annually or $34 monthly, Team at $40 per user a month. A 6 day free trial with a card. No free plan.

Pick it if you want a clean, searchable rolodex with LinkedIn and inbox history, and you are happy to set your own keep in touch cadence. I compared it in detail in FRONT OF MIND vs Dex.

Mesh (formerly Clay)

On iPhone: Mesh: Contacts + CRM, rated 4.4 from 765 ratings as of October 27, 2026. The listing says it is built automatically from your email, calendar, address book, LinkedIn, Twitter and iMessage.

What it does well. It has the best contact card on this list. Mesh fills in photos, bios, work history and location, and offers natural language search, dictation, reminders, birthday notifications, news about people you know and reconnection cadences.

Does it write? Partly, and not yet for everyone. Mesh’s Nexus page says you can ask it for “reasons to get back in touch” and “ideas for the perfect outreach email.” The page offers early access, not a plan feature.

Cost. Per Mesh pricing: a free Personal plan for up to 1,000 contacts, Pro listed at $10 a month, Team at $40 per seat a month, Enterprise by quote.

Pick it if you want the best free home for your relationships on your phone. More in FRONT OF MIND vs Mesh.

Covve

On iPhone: Covve, Personal CRM, rated 4.5 from 626 ratings as of October 27, 2026. Covve also has a separate card scanner app.

What it does well. Capture. The listing covers fast card scanning, follow up reminders, notes, tags, news about your contacts’ careers before you reach out, and on device end to end encryption. Covve says “Even we can’t unlock your data without your encryption key.” Its homepage adds event badge and LinkedIn QR scanning, voice capture and offline use.

Does it write? Its AI assistant, per the listing, handles data entry by email. It is not pitched as a message writer.

Cost. Per Covve pricing: Essential at $12 a month or $119 a year, Pro at $20 a month or $199 a year, with a 14 day free trial. Pro adds event badge scanning.

Pick it if you go to a lot of events and the bottleneck is getting cards into your phone.

Cloze

On iPhone: Cloze Relationship Management, rated 4.7 from 2,841 ratings as of October 27, 2026, the most rated app on this list.

What it does well. It builds one view of every person from your email, calls, meetings, notes and files, without data entry. The listing says Cloze “figures out who is important and keeps them top of mind, and will even remind you to reach out to a contact and refresh a fading relationship.” That is real prioritization, and it is the closest thing here to a daily decision.

Does it write? The listing mentions built in ChatGPT for newsletters, listing descriptions and drip campaigns. That is broadcast writing, and its marketing now leans toward real estate teams.

Cost. Per Cloze pricing: Cloze Pro at $17 a month billed annually or $19.99 monthly, team plans from $21 per user a month annually, with a 14 day free trial.

Pick it if your relationships live in your inbox and you want email tracking and templates.

folk

On iPhone: Contacts by folk CRM is new on the App Store, with only 2 ratings as of October 27, 2026.

What it does well. folk is a team CRM. Its pricing page lists a Follow up Assistant, a Recap Assistant and AI Magic fields on every plan, plus email, calendar and WhatsApp sync.

Cost. Standard at $24 per member a month billed annually or $30 monthly, Premium at $48 or $60. A 2 week free trial.

Pick it if you share a pipeline with a partner. The phone app is the newest piece. See FRONT OF MIND vs folk.

FRONT OF MIND

There is no native iPhone app yet. FRONT OF MIND runs in your iPhone’s browser, and you can save it to your home screen.

What it does. It opens on your 10 minutes for today. Each person has a one line reason why today: they posted, it is their birthday, you met at an event 9 days ago and never followed up, a follow up is due, a pipeline deal has been quiet 7+ days, their company was in the news, or they are going cold. Posts are only shown if they are confirmed to belong to that person.

Does it write? Yes, that is the point. Every person on the list comes with a draft, written like a text, 40 words max. Nothing sends without your tap, and it learns from your edits so the next draft sounds more like you. If you have wondered whether AI drafts can sound like you, I wrote about that in AI texts that sound like me.

Capture. At an event, say a name and a sentence out loud, snap a business card or badge, or take a selfie together. It is filed under that event.

Ask your network. Ask Liala out loud, “who do I know that is an M&A advisor” or “who lives in Miami,” and get the right people with why. It also lists intros to make this week, with dated proof on both sides.

Where it is weaker. It is not a full address book replacement like Mesh, not a dedicated scanner like Covve, and it has no email tracking or campaigns like Cloze. If you want a beautiful rolodex, the others are better at that.

Cost. Free for your first 25 contacts and 1 intro, then $29 a month. Contacts are encrypted. No one on our team looks at them. Export and delete anytime.
